Yiwu implements three-day silent management from August 11

Early this morning, Yiwu issued a notice: From 0:00 onwards, the city will implement 3-day silent management, and the whole city (except Dachen, Chi’an and high-risk areas) will be managed and controlled with reference to the medium-risk area (standard for control areas).

Announcement on Implementing Temporary Global Silence Management

At present, the epidemic situation in the city is severe and complicated. In order to reduce the flow of people, consolidate the results of previous prevention and control, completely cut off the chain of transmission, and fight the battle of epidemic prevention and control as quickly as possible, after research by the Municipal Epidemic Prevention and Control Headquarters, it was decided to implement temporary global silent management.

What is the impact of Yiwu’s implementation of silent management on us?

First of all, as an export enterprise producing brad nails and staples in Dingzhou City, Hebei Province, we have many customers from different countries. At the same time, Yiwu is one of the richest areas in China, the world’s largest small commodity distribution center, and has been identified as the world’s largest market by international authorities such as the United Nations and the World Bank.
Many of our company’s customers have warehouses in Yiwu, and they require brad nails and staples to be sent to Yiwu, and then the freight forwarders in Yiwu will arrange transportation to the customer’s country.
The implementation of silent management in Yiwu has undoubtedly had a bad impact on the transportation and storage of goods.

Some goods that have been sent from the factory and are on their way to Yiwu cannot be transported to the warehouse in Yiwu, but can only be arranged at other logistics sites, which will also cause certain economic losses. At the same time, the goods that have already been arranged for loading from Yiwu can only be postponed, and customers need to wait longer.

It is hoped that the COVID-19 in Yiwu can be eliminated soon, and the people’s production and life can be put on the right track as soon as possible.
