The Kenyan construction sector is currently witnessing a surge in urban development, particularly in Nairobi and Mombasa. However, the humid coastal climate and alternating wet/dry seasons in the highlands create a high-corrosion environment. This makes the demand for angled nails critical, as traditional carbon steel fasteners often fail prematurely due to rust and oxidation.
Local artisans and contractors are increasingly shifting away from manual hammering toward pneumatic systems. This transition has led to a spike in the usage of f nails, which allow for faster installation cycles in residential housing projects and commercial fit-outs, reducing labor costs significantly.
Despite the growth, there is a noticeable gap in the availability of specialized high-grade alloys. Many projects still rely on generic imports that lack the precision required for fine cabinetry, highlighting a market need for dedicated finish nails for baseboard that can withstand the expansion and contraction of local timber species.
